Your Job Description from God
What would you say if someone said God has a job description for you? It’s true, but sadly most believers have no idea what theirs is or how to find out. The best clue a Christ-follower has as to what God expects of us individually (our job description) is by knowing our spiritual gifts. Paul says, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand about spiritual gifts” (1 Corinthians 12:1 NCV). He goes on to say the Holy Spirit decides who gets what gifts (1 Corinthians 12:11) and that our gifts are given for a purpose – to serve one another and build up God’s church (1 Corinthians 12:7; Ephesians 4:11-12).
