Get Connected
Are you new to The Highlands? Are you looking for an opportunity to move beyond being another face in the crowd? Looking for a chance to meet people, make some friends, and grow in your faith? If so, take a look at the following ways to get connected here at The Highlands.
Coffee with the Pastor: Want to know more about our vision, mission, and where we're headed? Are you interested in joining the church? If so, the first step is to attend Coffee with the Pastor where you'll learn more about the church, our history, vision and review expectations regarding membership.
Coffee with the Pastor sessions occur every other month. A typical session lasts about an hour and half. Childcare is available for children up through 5th grade. Attending Coffee with the Pastor does not obligate you to join the church.
ReGroup: Making the jump from the Sanctuary to someone's family room is a big one. ReGroup will help bridge the gap. ReGroup is gathering of people from different ages and stations of life who meet together at The Highlands for 2 weeks in order to start or find a Small Group to plug into. Small Groups at The Highlands are groups of either 5-7 couples or 6-14 individuals that meet weekly in someone's home to do life together, not just church! Childcare is provided for children up through 5th grade during the ReGroup sessions. ReGroup only lasts for TWO WEEKS so attendance is critical, but we offer ReGroup every quarter. Check out the ReGroup page by clicking here.
Small Groups: Small groups at The Highlands are groups of either 5-7 couples or 8-14 individuals that meet weekly in someone's home for the specific purpose of living, laughing, learning, and doing life together in biblical community. Groups launch at strategic times during the year. Check out this small group FAQ for more information.
Sign-On Sunday: Worship is great, small groups are wonderful, but something happens when you connect to a ministry team and experience the joy of serving Jesus Christ in His body (the church). Sign-On Sunday happens once a quarter after Sunday morning worship and is your opportunity to meet and talk with our ministry team leaders, sign up for, and connect to a service opportunity here at The Highlands. Help us change the way people think about church and Sign-On for a ministry team. Yes, you can change ministry teams if it's not the right fit.
Christianity Explored: Are you new to the faith, are you returning after a long absence, are you seeking spiritual direction, or perhaps you're simply looking for a refresher course? If so, Christianity Explored is for you. Christianity Explored is a ten week study in the Gospel of Mark (2nd book in the New Testament) and is offered twice a year. The purpose of this study is learn who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. To find out more click here.
