Welcome to The Backyard!
The Backyard welcomes children birth through 5th Grade.
The Backyard exists to teach children to love God and serve people by inviting them into a real relationship with Jesus and providing them with opportunities to serve others.
Our goals for The Backyard are:
To teach children how to worship God and provide them with opportunities to worship.
To invite children to know God more and grow in community together through small groups on Sunday mornings.
To teach children to serve God by providing them with opportunities to serve others.
Our Seedlings Nursery Area is for little ones, birth through 36 months. Our Sprouts Room is for preschoolers, 3 to 5 years old. Our Treehouse is designed for elementary kids, Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Welcome to 4:12 Youth
"Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
4:12 is where teens (6th-12th grade) can come and encounter the God of the universe through awesome worship and digging into the scriptures!! This is a great place to hang out with old friends and to meet new ones. Come check us out on Sunday evenings from 5 pm-7 pm.
The Bible makes it clear that following Christ was never meant to be done in isolation, but instead within community. We believe people grow best, develop as leaders, and experience authentic community in a group setting of like-minded friends.
For that reason, groups are at the heart of The Highlands Church. We encourage you to get connected with other Christ-followers, and investigate being a part of group. You just might find out what many others have discovered. A small group is anything, but a stuffy, boring, bible study. Rather, it is a band of brothers and sisters who'll stand by you, defend you, love you, pray for you, encourage you, fight for you, and support you during the highs and lows of life. Now that's biblical community!

We were all made for a mission. God is at work in the world, and He wants us to join Him. That might mean inviting a friend to church, or showing love to those in need around you, or travelling to other countries to share the love of Christ. God tells us that love is to be our number one value in life. In fact, Jesus once said that out of all the commands in the Bible these two are the most important. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. The Highlands proclaims the love of God through missions locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally by bringing joy, hope, and life-change to our brothers and sisters around the world.
