Giving reflects a grateful heart and many individuals and families give generously and joyfully every week to continue the ministry at The Highlands United Methodist Church.
Where we spend our money, our hearts follow. And, as a church family, we consider it a privilege to give our resources to such a worthy cause as fulfilling God's mission of "Inviting people to a real relationship with Jesus Christ." Through the ministries of The Highlands Church...
• Every week more children are being taught that God loves them and will be with them always.
• Every week a growing number of middle school and high school students are finding their identity is in Christ, avoiding common landmines and making a difference in the world with their lives.
• Every week men and women are learning they matter to God and finding purpose in life.
• Every week people are growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Every week people are hearing about, drawing closer to, and connecting to the message of forgiveness in Christ.
• Every week hope and help is being brought to those who are the least, the last, and the lost, both locally and globally.
Why should I give online?
"But just as you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us - see that you also excel in this grace of giving." 2 Cor. 8:7 (NIV)
1. It makes giving more convenient. We shop online, bank online, pay our bills online, so why shouldn't we be able to give online?
2. When you sign up to give online you're taking a step of faith and deciding in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith!
3. It'll help simplify your life. It's one less check to write.
4. You will be helping your church. Every person (or family) who gives through an online process makes record keeping much easier.
5. You can focus on worship. You won't have to worry about writing checks, forgetting to drop them off, or fumbling for cash. Instead, you can focus entirely on worship and ministry.
6. It allows you to give consistently...even when you miss church. You can continue to contribute when you are away on vacation or are unable to attend.
